Hello all, new guy here so I thought that I would introduce myself.

Currently on the hunt for either a late model or new Bonnie T100 as I love their classic looks. Today (at this moment anyway) I’m tending towards a matte black model, but will probably wake up at 3 AM wanting a two tone.

I’ve owned many other bikes over the years, sadly including but not limited to:

    BMW
    82 R100RS
    88 K75S
    98 R11RT
    07 R12GS

    Moto Guzzi
    01 V11 Sport
    04 V11 Coppa Italia

    Ducati
    (2) 06 Multistrada 620
    96 900 SS/CR

    Triumph
    09 1050 Tiger
    16 800XRX Tiger

As well as a gaggle of Japanese bikes, some of which were interesting, some not. One of the interesting ones was a 00 SV650 which I bought wrecked and transformed into a faux early model Triumph SpeedTriple complete with Triumph dual headlights and cockpit fairing.

Of all the above motos, my favorites have been the Guzzis . Why? well because they were Italian and like Italian shoes and Italian cars and anything else Italian... just beautiful!

I’ve been somewhat active on the V11Lemans, Multistrada, VStrom, VFR, and KTM forums.

Enough babbling about myself... well actually I’m going to continue. Currently living in Pacific Palisades, California U.S.A. Married with three adult children. Wife is a retired teacher and I’m a retired police sergeant. Prior to moving to SoCal in 2013 I lived in Modesto CA. Grew up as an Army brat in Okinawa, Brooklyn NY, Puerto Rico and Oakland CA before enlisting myself and living in Asbury Park , NJ while stationed at Ft. Monmouth.

Graduated from Oakland (CA) Tech High School in 68 and enlisted in Army in 69.

Other than motos I enjoy Stanley Kubrick movies and Leonard Cohen music, walking along lonely beaches, puppy dogs, holding hands and singing koom-by-ya around a campfire. But most of all, being the deep and sensitive fellow that I am, I mostly enjoy pointy shoes, sunglasses and vodka martinis. Oh, and I was lying about the campfire songs.

So, assuming that you’re still reading, you know more about me than you ever cared to. Now I imagine you’re’ keen on reading my two posts (‘New Bonnie, New Me... a few Qs’ as well as ‘Centerstand / Exhaust Compatibility’).

My name is Joe and it’s nice to meet you!

Hi Joe and Welcome to the Forum
Great intro, got to agree on (most) Italian bikes, unfortunately had a bad experience with a Guzzi v10 centauro I had as a loan bike for a week when one of my Triumph's was in dealer for warranty work. When I collected my bike the salesman asked me what I thought, my comment was, if it's that or nothing, I'd probably have to go with nothing! :p

    Hi,

Love the V11s!!! As an ex Guzzi owner( Royale and Norge) I can well understand your enthusiasm.
The Bonneville will continue it, albeit in a very different manner, I really enjoy my t120 having been introduced to it from another ex Guzzi owning friend, now also Bonneville mounted...………..
