The old forum had a "button" that took you to the last post in a thread. It was next to the name of the last poster. Now it isn't there and if you click on the name of the last poster you are linked to the details of that poster.

Maybe I've missed it but I can't find a way of getting directly to the last post.

    Thanks

    Dick

Hi Dick, if you look again you will see that underneath the name of the last poster there is the time and date of the post. If you hover your mouse over that you will see it is a link to the last post. Just click on it and you're there.

Not for me I'm afraid Dave.

The poster's name is highlighted but hovering over the time and date does nothing. Perhaps it's being on a Mac?

I don't know tbh mate? All I know is that it works like that for me and always has????

I'm not familiar with the workings of a Mac, but I wonder if there are any browser settings that need adjusting? Hyper-links for example?

Thanks Dave. There may be an issue with the browser as the machine is 8 years old and there hasn't been any updates to the OS or other software for some time now. In fact I got an email from Yahoo last week telling me I had to revert to their basic service as they weren't supporting my version of the browser any longer! I have a newer Mac that I generally only use for recording music so I'll give it a go on that.

    Cheers

    Dick

Well I did try it on the new machine and it works. I only use Safari on the old Mac so I loaded Firefox as I needed it for my email anyway and that also works....

    Yeah, computers are wonderful

Thanks for your help Dave :)

    Cheers

Ha! It started happening again today and after wondering what was going on it struck me that I wasn't signed in and the problem went away when signed in!

So it wasn't the browser as such but just a combination of circumstances

    My middle name ....

What happens is that Safari doesn't sign me in automatically so unless I'd signed in (which I only did when I was answering a post or setting a new thread) the last link didn't work. When I loaded Firefox I signed in straight away and then each subsequent time I logged on I was logged in automatically so it always worked. I did the same on the new machine so that worked as well.

    We live and learn ;)
