Tiger Sport 900 Rallye Pro Starter Switch

A mate had his switch pack in whilst away last month. Not a Rally Pro but a GT Pro. When I bought my RP new in 2022 the starter switch was missing in the showroom as it had been borrowed!! Obviously a new one was fitted before I brought it home. This all does suggest there is/was a problem with some switches.

 

I got a telling off from the technician when I took my Tiger in for service and MOT about the switch using it instead of the ignition key as the bike was new to me and the lad I bought it off used the switch to kill the engine I just thought that was part of the procedure with the bike but was told prolonged use like this will have detrimental affect on the switch so I am presuming this is why I was told to use the key I'm not suggesting that this is your problem only a suggestion and putting the information I was given as a possible cause of your issues
