http://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/...miles-britain-biggest-motorcycling-challenge/ http://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/2017/march/motorcycles-ride-5000-miles-/ MCN is running a "lets all do 5000 miles this year," thats more than I normally do, only I have planned two holidays this year and so Im setting my sights on cracking that total. Whats your annual milage? .
Around 7k is my average. Depends on where I go of course. I bought this one last April and have done about 4K so far this year. I've done more in a year than the previous two owners did since it was new.
Assuming I'd only be a fair weather weekend rider I put 3,000 on the insurance. In the seventeen months I've owned the Bonnie I've put 6,000 on it, and for seven months (Jan-July inc) I was laid up poorly and didn't leave the house let alone ride a motorcycle. So the mileage surprised me.
Done 4000 miles on Doris and around 6000 on Tracey in the last year. Considering, apart from the gmu last year, my max is around 120 I didn't realise I'd been out that much!
Ive done 5,200 on the Bonnie in 14 months. Plan to do double that in the next 12 months. First owner had done 2k in 4 years from new.
I do anywhere between 8 - 12k most years. Do around 4 - 5k on holiday with the rest of the mileage coming from days out and maybe the odd weekend away. I do 2 or 3 500 mile plus day trips per year.
Just thinking, is this 5000 miles per bike or rider? ..In which case I've easily topped 5k per annum as I do most of my sh1tt1e weather miles on my K100RS.
