I have a 2022 Triumph Thruxton RS. If I don't ride it for a few weeks, I'll usually find that the battery is dead. If I'm able to get it started again, the battery can be finicky. In some cases, I'd barely get the bike to start, ride it 5 miles to the gym, and after my workout find that the bike is still having difficulty starting.

I recently tested the Regulator Rectifier. I used the Shop Manual for the 2018 Thruxton and found that all the numbers were correct. I also checked for Parasitic drain by setting a multimeter to amps and seeing if there was anything pulling from the battery. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

After riding it the other day, I checked the voltage of the battery. The voltage doesn’t get to more than 10v at 4000 rpm. But at idle the voltage is around 14.2 volts. Testing the unregulated voltage from the stator. At idle, I was getting 18 volts. Having the bikes rpm at 4000-5000, the unregulated voltage was 80 volts. The service manual said that at idle, the volts should be at 15-25V and at 4000-5000 rpm, it should be 35-40v.

It all points to a faulty Stator but I wanted to check here first before rushing out to buy a new one.
