    hello all

I have been trying to search this on the forum, but cannot find any mention of the newer model speed rear nut size.
The older ones appear to be 46mm, so was about to order one of these, then thought i would look at a parts fiche. The only nut mentioned appears to be an M38
Before i go off and buy the wrong socket can someone please confirm if its 38mm or 46mm?

    thank you

    k

46, when tightening, use a torque wrench set to 146 Nm. (Edited!)

46mm is correct, but the torque setting is actually a shade more at 146Nm ;)

Also, make note of how the washers are fitted as you remove them. When you put them back, first fit the flat washer, then the 'Belleville' washer (the dished one) with the convex side against the nut.

You’re right about the torque setting but I have doubts about the washers, I have sold my speed triple so can’t check mine but unless they have changed I’m sure the dished washer goes in first to mate with the wheel, flat side out then the flat washer to go against the flat face of the nut. I’ll check with the manual I have (selling as well if anyone wants it)

Both my 2016 and 2018 were wheel > spacer > flat washer > Belleville washer > nut.

It makes sense that the flat washer protects the alloy spacer as the Belleville washer compresses and slides against it.
