    Hi,

Wondering if anyone’s had corrosion/paint blemish on frames?
I have 2016 speed triple R & I have blemishes on frame paint that is getting increasingly worst - just wondering if it’s corrosion?

I’ve just logged into the forum for the first time in ages because yesterday I found exactly the same marks on my bike! It’s been well looked after and garaged and is a 2016 speed triple r but looks like an identical problem to yours. Did you find anything out? Annoyingly mine was serviced by Triumph yesterday but I didn’t notice these blemishes as the bike was dirty after a wet ride through muddy backroads! Only afterwards when I bought it home and cleaned it.

I hit a brick wall with dealer & Triumph.
    Triumph say it’s ‘cosmetic’
The full frame, which I would say is the main feature of the bike is covered.
I have a bit of finance due to the difference from the trade in on my MT07......should have kept it!
It’s with the finance company to deal with, replace frame or take it away.
Got an independent inspection via finance company this week - fingers crossed!

Good luck with that. It’s not really on is it. I bought mine outright so it will just be the dealership to deal with. I’ve done a whopping 4K miles since brand new in June 2016, most of which dry. Stored in a dry garage in between. Looks like dodgy corrosion under the paint or something. I agree the rest of my bike is in perfect condition so this stands out like a sore thumb. Happy to send you over pics of mine if it helps your cause. If you are happy to I will also mention this convo when I speak to Triumph as it looks like a wider problem if both our bikes are affected from the same year!

Sounds very similar, just over 3000miles, all dry since I owned it.

Feel free to fire your images over & it may be more ammunition.

Sorry about the woes with your frame. But just a little note if you are sending your mail address you really want to put it in a personal mail / conversation. To many people to see it here.
    Regards
    Joe.

Did you get anywhere with this, I have exactly the same "spots" or blemish on my frame and its a 2016 S.

Is it some sort of corrosion or what is it?

    Hi there!
I'm not sure if you'll get a reply tbh as it was a long time ago and not much since for almost 2 years.
Might be worth starting a new thread?
