Went to ride my bike to work, turned on, went to start and it went through the start up on gauges. Hit the start, maybe a second too early before full start up finished. Completely died. Battery always on battery conditioner and been working fine. Checked fuses hoping simple fix but no go. What else can I check? 2013 Thruxton, owned since new, only about 6000km on the clock, garaged. I’m out of ideas! Taking battery to get checked out, fingers crossed that’s it.

Well I took my battery to Battery World, was sitting on 9V! 3yrs old and always on a c-tek conditioner/trickle.

Waiting on a new battery in a couple of day, I’m hoping this is the easy answer

Always it's the battery - even when you are sure it's not!

Thanks, it was the cluster frozen that was worrying me. Cheers for the EML light tip.

Sooooooo it was the battery, doh, 9V. Changed it out and bike is back to normal. Happy it was so simple.

The frozen cluster and no power to even push start had me really worried that something big/bad had happened. Went to Battery World, they put it on the tester and she was at 9V!

I guess I was confident my conditioner/trickle charger was going well but, (even though same shop sold it to me 3 years ago), the shop said that it really only maintains the current voltage. Might invest in a better conditioner and charger....

    Thanks for all the replies!

    Great forum!

Ha, maintains the “current” voltage. Saw what you did there :grinning:
Happy it was an easy fix.

Good morning Luke and welcome aboard. I had the same problem, kind of, with my Scrambler just yesterday. One fresh batt fixed her right up, and mine wasn't nearly as low as yours. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
