2012 Seat Cowl Fitting

    Got a new seat cowl kit for my bike, as original owner didn’t get one.

    Parts list shows a 10mm thick 25mm square rubber pad that looks like gets stuck on the inside of cowl at the rear end and I assume rests on the pillion seat to remove ant play.

    Is this needed, as I’m sure I could use some closed cell foam to do the job.
