Good evening I have been to look at 2 explorers today and really like the look of them and the seating position (i haven't had a test ride yet). I am probably looking to buy one around the end of next month but my couple of questions are.
1). Are there any differences between the 2012 and 2014 models
2). Are there any major things I should be aware of when making a choice.

Both models were in great condition and the 2012 had fewer miles and was £1200 less than the 2014 , thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks a lot for that Bikerman, I went and picked up the magazine some great info in there cheers. Looking at the article I think a 2014-2015 might be a better option, Im not in a rush so will have a good look around......thanks again.

I have had. 2012 and then swopped for a 2015 ( not face lift model) , no difference apart from colour!!

Make sure the earlier one has had any recalls done including the cylinder head work.

My 2012 model had the head work done but there was nothing wrong with it anyway. Both bikes have been brilliant with no problems, only swopped it as it was 3 years old.

Thanks a lot for that Tim that's good information cheers, as both the bikes that I looked at were identical except one was 2 years newer but had higher mileage and the older one was cheaper. I think that if I went back and checked that the work had all been done then the 12 model would be fine as it was in as good condition as the newer model. Much appreciated Tim thanks.
