    Greetings all,

I have a 2011 Thruxton with roughly 17K miles on it.

Having issues while running. It starts up fine, but once on the road with throttle opened up it sputters and stalls after letting off the throttle.

I would say it's either fuel or ignition?

Gas is not too old, but I plan to change it out any way. Always 93 octane.

Basically wondering what I should start with?

    Fuel filter? Fuel Pump? Coils?

I would love to just buy all new components, but it's not really a great time for that.

    Cheers,

    Scott

I'd put new petrol in it
    Then Id suspect ignition coils.
Is this a new problem or have you had it a while?
Mine turned out to be a valve shim set too tight after the 12 k service...ran fine till it warmed up then stuttered at constant throttle settings
    Others may know better though.

It’s a new problem. Although, I wasn’t running it a whole lot over the winter. Just starting every couple of weeks to keep the battery charged.
I’ll replace the gas today and see how that goes. Start with the simplest solution first right?
    thanks for the feedback.

Can't help but welcome to the family. Sure these peeps here will have you up and running in no time atall. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates your steed.
    Regards
    Joe.

That is one cool steed. Not seen an orange one before. When you change that fuel I would add some fuel conditioner to clean every thing out. Perhaps treat it to a new set of plugs.
    Regards
    Joe.

Yup. It was the fuel. Came out of the tank black.

I guess it had been in there a bit longer than I had in mind. LOL

Put just a little in to try it out and no problems.

Thanks for the fuel conditioner and plugs suggestion. Couldn't hurt and a relatively cheap investment.

    Cheers,

    Scott
