Grin and bear it mate and just keep trudging on with your wits about you. Its a very poor place to find yourself, I know ive been there, but it does get better. Double check any advice given; I received empathy from the mortgage advisor, what a snake!
I challenged his figures and options to be told "Oh I hadnt thought of that as it means you need to give me a lump sum (saving me money per month and in the long term)".
    Is there any kids involved?

Happy to have a pm discussion or phone chat if you feel the need or want a rant? ;)

The thought had crossed my mind but I didn't want to weaken your concrete. Few peeps I could have put in there especially Politian's. You know you are going to get me a bad name here.
    Regards
    Joe.

In real life, nobody is as nice as you appear to be on here.
We all know you have a dark side mate.
Didn't you see the poll a few weeks back?

Entitled..."Is Joe McDonald a gun for hire?"... o_O

Your kidding me of course. I am a good Irish Man. Would not harm a fly. There are better men here that could fit the file.

thanks guys, its getting better im learning to not think about what she did, its $hit as i wont even go in the spare bedroom, as i know thats where she did what she did, iv tried in these short 6 weeks to get rid of any hint of her in the house, iv pained, smashed and replaced most things. But the spare bedroom...well thats another thing. Im happy to be rid of her stink, as i can move forward, had a few of my old army mates pick me up, and generally try get me back to where i was. I always had suspicion, and i always ignored my usual good sense of things. narcissism, thats a term i know fully understand, and that she was exactly that. But like everyone who has one of these people in their life, you dont know it until they are gone.
anyway, my bike, i will still have 3, and no way is the scrambler or the old bsa trog going but i may part with the can am/ armstrong sonic 560.
iv even just had to sell my 1967 ford f100 pickup, and that went seriously cheap :(

Glad you are getting there. Army buddies are the best. After my wife passed away. A couple of months after I had a knock on the door. There was a man there and he introduced himself as Coronel Hulme. He said is Mrs McDonald home. I replied sorry my wife has passed away what is it. He said we got this back to front we were told you had passed away and the regiment made a collection for your wife so you can have it. Back in 86 it was something around three thousand pounds. And he and his visited me every other week or so form the boys and paid every thing for my three kids even took them on holiday so I could have break. That's why to me they are another big family. And you know you as an ex-service man are entitled to approach SAFFA for help.
    Regards
    Joe.

thanks Joe, i did contact them, and i was immediately contacted by numerous guys who all pulled together. One got in contact with a couple of guys i served with, who came to my rescue physically. I have a great bunch of mates who i have been though some of life's worst, and seen things together no man should ever see, But they all disappeared when she came into my life, literally within weeks, nothing. One told me he disliked her that much he didnt have the heart to tell me to walk away. And he was my best friend, thick n thin. I wondered why i never spoke much.
Narcissism, unless you walk away from it, you dont recognise your in it until its too late.
Anyway another bad day today, divorce papers from court this time stating im paying costs....ffs when does this end.

Need to sell this bike instead of airing my woes

chin up buttercup and crack on.

I've never been in your situation but I have lost a wife, so I can only imagine and estimate your turmoil. Whatever the reasons many have been through it and emerged much stronger at the end. As you will.

Life can be a tw*t at times, continue to be strong, you've got the balls.
