    Hi all.

Just 3 days on my new Speed Triple and the seat has to go.

Is the Triumph Gel seat a much better comfort option?

Or better to go full custom?

Other than that I absolutely love my first Triumph.

Ive got the gel seat on my speedy, didnt know until I got the original in a box when I picked the bike up.

Ive never riden with the original but I can tell you the gel is good. So good that I never think about it. Most Ive done is 4 hrs, but no problems at all.

Would like to try before I buy ideally. The stock seat is not working for me at all and angles me too far forward - like I'm sliding down off it. Its also a bit hard, not very comnfortable.

Not as bad as the Street Triple seat though which is truly awful.

Shame the 2008 isn't the same as the 2007 or you could've had mine. Deffo go for the gel seat - I was having comfort issues on my original seat then put the gel one on. I went up to a rally in Scotland 1st time out with the gel (480 miles). I phoned my wife to say that I'd got there safe and she asked if the seat was OK. It was then that I realised that I hadn't even thought about it! 'Nuff said?

    Hi all.

Got a gel seat and can confirm it is a lot more comfortable.

Did my trip around the UK without giving my seat a second thought. Lots of hours on the bike, no problems. Definatly recomend the gel.
