Hello all. New Member, first thread. Last year i picked up a 2008 speed triple that a kid ran into his Mom's pickup. Has a crack in the crankcase and a few teeth off the clutch basket broken. I was going to replace the basket and have a friend weld the crack in the crankcase since it does not hold a lot of oil pressure. I couldn't pass up the $800 deal, since it had 8k on the clock and a few minor bits were all that was damaged. I came across a 2005 engine with 30k on the clock for $500 and wondering if this is a better option to just swap engines. Any input is GREATLY appreciated. Are there any specialty tools needed for the swap?
