Anyone here had this issue and fixed it ?

On my 2011 Speed Triple I get an annoying hesitation sometimes a misfire too between 1800 to 2200 rpm....

Has come and gone a bit in the past but looks here to stay now...

Standard bike, standard map, TPS and ISCV reset, new plugs, injector cleaner ran through, throttle sync is 640, 630, 640, reset adaptations in TuneECU and 12 minute reset done, no fault codes

Bike did it before all of that and still does now

To get away from the lights without bogging down I have to rev to 2500+ and slip the clutch ....If I catch it wrong the bike just stops moving

Always happens at 2000rpm regardless of throttle opening speed gear etc.

It's beginning to piss me off big time :D

    Hhhmmmmm good call....

Do you think a resistance check would show it up ?

Workshop manual says 0.8 to 1.2 ohms so I'll try them later......

What about the leads and plug caps?

Cheaper to replace and can cause the same symptoms.

It's all built into the coil stick...

There's just a little electrical connector to them, no HT lead or plug cap

Nosing with TuneECU last night I noticed that the OEM map has a big dip around 2000 compared to the Arrow slip on tune which is a lot smoother....

    Arrow....

Might throw the arrow one in and see if the hesitation is still there....I appreciate it may run a bit rich but be nice to see if it still happens with a map without the dip in...

Hi Jody ref the OEM map - do bear in mind that the dip slight dip you refer to is not just at approx 2000rpm but also at 5% throttle opening. This is where the ECU is swapping between AI system operational/closed and between the two tables of values.

As interesting as it may seem I don't believe this is the source of your problem.

I get what you are saying but If I try the Arrow map with a smoother looking F/L switch and it stops then I know the issue is with my standard maps F/L transition...

If it is still there then I know it is hardware related

Both maps have a F/L transition value of 4 across the whole rev range

Is this value definitely displayed as throttle % in tune ecu ?

Some Triumphs have the F/L value as high as 31 which would be a bit high for throttle % I thought ?

Threw in the Arrow slip-on map this morning

Rode to work and the results were....

1 or 2 misfires around 2000 (when using too high a gear after rolling up to a roundabout and deciding not to stop) so that issue is still there

    But....

    Part throttle cruisung is smoother
MPG on the dash shows higher sat at 55mph than before
I can pull away from below 2000rpm and there is only a very very slight hesitation, nothing like before

So in conclusion I probably have got a coil related issue which the fuelling on the standard map must have highlighted more....

In view of your last comment Jody, are you sure it's not just a matter of you trying to run at low a revs?

    No....

If I try to pull away from lights at 2000rpm nice and gentle, ease the clutch out, as it starts biting bike starts moving, give it a few more revs and the bike just stops and I have to either clutch it and rev it to 3000 then slip it or give it.more throttle which results in a half second pause then the bike lunges forward and tries to headbutt the horizon.

If a 1050 can't pull away at 2000rpm then something is wrong

Before was hesitation and occasionally misfireing....with the Arrow map all I'm getting is the occasional misfire and almost like a little 50rpm dip where it used to stop dead....

Have you got the later coil seals. Early type lets in water (the are parallel rather than top hat type) usually on #1 cyl. change to later type if they are not already.
other than that go see Clive Wood.

    Latest info....

Bought a 2nd hand O2 sensor off a 1641 mile Bonnie America EFI ( as they are same part number)

I noticed that when using TuneECU Android the closed loop icon never showed up, so I thought for £16 I'd try another sensor (as I'd been meaning to for weeks)

Fitted this morning, much better on the ride to work

As the bike was warm when I got to work I did the 12 minute reset

Fingers crossed it's even better going home tonight....
