Trolling through eBay this morning to pass the time, ran across an Enfield Thunderbird I sold l;ast year.
I bought it a few months earlier as it was supposedly as new, imported in 2004 and stored only being registered April last year, it came with High bars and stupidly small tank that would only allow you to get past the back gate and back twice, so I dumped them and put proper bars and a s/h Bullet tank on, still hated the thing and sold it on to a dealer who wanted it to make a cafe racer for a client of his.
Next thing I know I'm being hunted down on twitter (which I dont do!) and the Hitchcocks forum by a new owner who wants to know this, that, and everything else, made a complete prat of himself on Midland Bullet too.
In the end I told him I SOLD THE FCUKING THING, ask the dealer YOU bought it off!!!
Now I find it on eBay, what a bleeding mess!!

Its under Royal Enfield Thunderbird, its the only 1 on there at present, looks hideous!
Then I looked up some Bonnies, only to find by beautifull 08 Bonnie, still looking as lovely as when I sold it a few years back, I'd buy it back if I hadn't just spent a grand & bought the garage, would love to have had it back.
    She's solid silver, 08, 11000 miles AU58CZT and a bargain I recon at £3795!
If it had came up a year earlier it would be here now!

As it is for sale today,

    When I had her.
By the look of it she's been looked after, MOT history shows no fails either!

Here's my last Enfield, an Electra X, only had this a matter of WEEKS, very noisy what I thought were crank shaft bearing, but told that it was more like the big end!

Reading up on RE forums, you should expect it to go at anything past 6-7000 miles!
    WTF!!! Thats UN-acceptable to me!

What with that and R.E. owners just seem to accept the spragg clutch to go at any time...........................I will never own another Enfield!
Not all were bad though, this one I bought about 8 years ago, I had it shipped upto nr John 'O' groats when I lived up there, did a goodly few miles on it, took it down to Bath when we moved and its still trotting about, this is the original & best of the Enfields, the Bullet 500.
