Here is my 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport and I'm selling as I snapped my Bicep and, having restored to the current condition can't ride her!!

She has had the front end fully rebuilt as the old paint was peeling and during this the forks were fully reconditioned with new seals and new oil etc. She has had a new throttle cable as this was terrible!!
All the paintwork ect is in first class condition as you can see in the pictures.

Rear hugger fitted and this looks great giving a really clean looking rear.

As you also can see from the photos I also have a spare double seat, original rear mudguard, pegs, chain guard and indicators if you want to go back to the original look.

The engine is superb and during the short ride I have had she pulls like a train, Both tires are good however the rear tyre has been squared a little as it looks like the previous owner preferred turning rather than leaning!!

Currently on SORN and the MOT expires 28 July 2014

Price is £4500 to a forum member before Ebay, I will also deliver (within reason say 150 miles of CO6!! )

I have ridden Nick's Thunderbird and it is a really nice bike to ride and looking at what these bikes are going for at the moment it is a very good price.
I would have brought it but I have had to let it go for the moment.
Engine and brakes are great and the bike feels very solid and has a great sound.

The earlier ones like this are more sort after with the twin flat tracker on one side exhaust and seem to go for more money

Found another one on E Bay with more miles on it for £5000 without the Cafe Racer kit on it TRIUMPH THUNDERBIRD SPORT 885 | eBay

  4. That looks crackin !
I very seriously considered a Thunderbird before i bought my Bonnie, in the end, i went for the Bonnie because of the age thing...
Lay out 4 grand on a 17/18 year old bike, or the same amount on a 6 year old bike ? Obviously, i chose the latter...
    But i'd love a T'bird one day.
