Hi, Just bought a 1998 Speed Triple 955i!. It seems to have come with a bit of a fault (of course not mentioned by previous owner). When stopped, on random occasions, the temperature gauge hits the top, the engine management light comes on and the bike dies, no electric whatsoever, horn, indicators, nothing! Then for no apparent reason, the temperature drops to normal and the bike starts. I thought it might have something to do with a pain in the ass aftermarket immobiliser, but a mechanic removed that, carried out a full service, and low and behold, just as he was carrying out the last checks, the same problem raised its ugly head. Does anyone have any experience of this, or any ideas..im gutted that I've bought a bike with a rogue problem... was so looking forward to my first triumph!.. its a beautiful bike in such good nick, less than 20k on the clock and spotless.. Hoping someone can brighten my day! Kind regards, Ian
