    Evening folks.

Just after a little bit of information about the screw/bolt that holds the drivers footrest on.

Mine went loose, which I believe is common, so I undid everything to find the nut seemed to be bottoming before it went tight.

Now my bolt is either a torx, that has had an Allen key rammed into it in the past....or...an Allen socket head that has had a torx rammed into it. At least I do know it is 10 x 30.

    Either way, it's a mess.

What should it be? Don't want to remove the right hand one to find out!

I can buy either in stainless locally cheaper than going to the dealer.

A bit of a mistake to decide to sort this late Friday afternoon I think!!!

I think what you will find is that the bolt is going tight in the Loctite that is used in assembly, I would suggest you remove the bolt and clean out the threads of both the bolt and the nut / footrest bracket.

Then re-assemble with a drop of fresh Loctite.
They seem to just come loose, I have had this issue too in the past. I think mine were Allen screws not Torx.

    Thanks for that.

I've cleaned out all the muck from the bottom of the threads and I can hopefully get a bolt tomorrow...Monday at the latest.

    Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the try, but....the head is too big as it will be squashed against the frame tube.

I know this because...I bought one yesterday!

Think I'm going to cut a slot in the old one and use a flat bladed screwdriver.
