Hello. My Daytona 1200 has 36,000 miles. Ran like a raped Ape. THEN. Riding down the 405 freeway during Rush Hour (80mph) it couched and then Died with in 2seconds. after it cooled down started right up. but now everytime it gets up to operating temp it Dies, no warning. i have changed plugs and drained the tank and carbs. i have noticed that the 1 2 cylinders exhaust is noticeably cooler then the 3 4. i did a compression check, good. bike still has alot of power not as much as before. Can anyone help,
p.s. I am sometimes slow in my returns.

    Welcome to the forum mate.
I’d suspect it’s electrical if it dies suddenly like that. From your description I’d guess at coils breaking down and failing when hot. The coils on the T300s are notoriously bad, especially if they’re still the originals.
Are there any other signs, like the clocks and lights failing too?

    Lovely bike BTW. :grinning:

Classic symptoms of the crank position sensor failing. £49.95 from www.triumphparts.co.uk aka Sprint Manufacturing. Good service from them but I just read somewhere on here that shipping can be a bit expensive. No harm in asking.

12001.jpg Thank All of you! The Coils are Stock. I will replace.
I was reading about someone replacing the Coils with "STICKs". Not sure if that is a Brand or if like My Super iii, Individual ( 1 plug 1 Coil) any Help?

Sticks refers to coil atop the plugs , individual coil per plug , there is someone on here who has details of where who to get them from
