    G'day Everyone,

I have a 1980 Bonneville and it is having a bit of an issue. Once it gets above about 2500 RPM it starts to lose power even with full throttle and struggles to gain acceleration. Coils have been replaced and the issue is still there.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to look into or replace?

    Cheers,
    Dan

@Dan m Welcome to the family. Yes i think you need to look at those carbs. Those mark 1and half's were really poor from the word go. Also check those chokes even worse. But it already looks like your bike has been converted back to cable operation. Looking at your inlet rubbers they look quite poor. And check the bowls are filling to the right level. Don't know what petrol you use over there but here the old ethanol plays havoc with the carb internals and hoses. I do wish you luck in curing it as it looks a real nice bike.
