    Hi Guys,
I am rebuilding a 1967 Mountain Cub and have a question on the marks that need to be aligned on the camshaft pinion teeth and the mark on the timing pinion teeth. I have a snap shot showing this from the manual below.

The mark on the timing pinion is clearly visible along side the keyway of the smaller pinion.

The problem is on the camshaft pinion teeth I cannot be sure of the location of the mark/dot. There is a small dot indicated by the yellow arrow on the camshaft pinion teeth.

When viewed through a magnifying glass there is a few other marks on the camshaft pinion teeth but
I believe these are just imperfections on the surface.

Is there someway I can check to see if the camshaft pinion is in the correct position?

If you zoom in on the photos you can see the marks more clearly.

    Thanks in advance,
    Matthew
