I'm trying to set up the spring and damper settings to suit my light weight and old bones. The Rebound setting on the Ohlins, the bottom adjustment, manual says clockwise to increase and anti-clockwise to decrease (I assume refers to rebound hardness). Clockwise looking from the top? Seems likely. the settings table refers to 44 clicks from the fully clockwise position for a softer ride, but mine don't click at all till they get to about 3 turns from the anticlockwise end. There's about 20 clicks to the full turn. The top Compression damper is helpfully marked H<>S so at least I know I'm turning it the right way. What about the pre-load on the Showa front forks? The manual says 7 turns is the correct setting for everything including 2-up. So why make it adjustable?
