what was number 1 in the USA when you were born... then every 10 years till you’re 50 ... then post a YouTube of your favourite of the bunch!
i think mine is slightly better than my uk bunch
Are you lonesome tonight - Elvis
My sweet lord - George Harrison
Just like starting over - John Lennon
    Because i love you - Stevie B
    Independent woman - Destinys child
    Firework - Katy Perry
i'm a big Elvis fan (pre army days especially) but George wins this one

I think Elvis was full of the cold when he did his original recording of Hey Jude (not the one you posted) either that or he had smoked one too many cigars the night before:confounded:!..I'm not a huge Beatles fan but I do like Hey Jude and Get Back

I was born February 25th, 1964, According to Billboard, these were the #1 Singles on my birthday for the years listed. Some/most is just crap, except the Beatles and Van Halen.

1964...I Want to Hold Your Hand....Beatles
    1974...The Way We Were..............Barbra Streisand
    1984...Jump...................................Van Halen
    1994..."The Power of Love"...........Céline Dion
2004...Slow Jamz.......................Twista featuring Kanye West and Jamie Foxx
    2014..."Dark Horse"........................Katy Perry

I hope this song is high enough on the country charts to count for this year. Buddy Brown
