Hi guys: I'm thinking of getting some heated grips so I can enjoy the winter days out without the frost bite. Any ideas on the best to fit and whether or not to connect them directly to the battery (not a preferred choice) or through a relay to a circuit that's only live when the ignition is on. A 'tinternet search says yes to both, very confusing. I'm not a total wazzack when it comes to these kind of jobs but any advice will be gratefully received. Ta in advance.

Through a relay definitely, fused of course, using a switched live.

Cheers Big Lad. I thought connecting directly to the battery was a bloody stupid idea and a dead cert to kill the battery in quick time.
    Much appreciated.

I think you'll be able to find a switched live via the fuse box under the RHS cover of the bike.

Great, I've been going through the wiring diagram and think I know which of many I intend to use.
    Many thanks again

Cheers Bikerman. I'll give it some thought.
