Got the 600 mile service done at Norfolk Triumph. As always that is the only service I will let a dealer do and from now on it's owner servicing....

Looks like it was the gearbox that went bang first. If it seized it's lucky that the chain snapped or the back wheel would have locked up.
Any idea why the chain snapped? Is it possible the bearing failed first? Pleased nobody got hurt.

Which is best? I need a stand for home maintenance. Not normally a fan of centre stands but in this instance it seems to be the sensible option....
If the new bolt is bigger you could drill and tap the insert to suit or use a sleeve or shouldered bolt.
