Fitted a new battery this month. The one on it was the original when the bike was new, so 6 years old. :eek:
The bike starts as it should. The problem I have is the issue is very intermittent. So time will tell if I have fixed it or not.
Side stand switch doesn't stop the bike from starting, unless it is in gear also. Will have a check of the relay, may buy another one and swap if...
Actually managed to ride the blunder bus for the first time since having my hip replaced.
Fitted my quick shifter to the bike, now need to change the oil and filter and give it a check over. I also removed, cleaned and greased the rear hub.
I have the infamous "wont start issue." So have cleaned the starter, kill and clutch switch. Cleaned and checked the earths in the starter motor....
Found it! :blush: It is fixed to the RHS frame tube underneath the main wiring loom as it runs from under the airbox towards the ABS module.
I'll have another try tomorrow and see if I can follow the cables. When I find I'll report back for anyone else who needs to know.
If only it was that easy :(
Where is it? I have the Haynes manual and the description and picture of where it is very vague.
I stripped out the rear hub on my Speed Triple, cleaned and lube'd it all up. Even cleaned and lube'd the chain as well. Just waiting on my...

That is the Broxton roundabout, on the Nantwich to Wrexham road.
It says there is a plastic bush that goes between them. I assume fit one bearing, fit bush, fit final bearing. To test, see if you can rotate one...
I've been camping once, never ever again.
Give MCT a call. They serviced the forks and shock on my Triple and it made a huge difference to the way bike handles and feels.
