Yes pretty much all of the above - they weren't cheap but then they are custom hand built wheels. For me personally I also think it will transform the bike into a cafe racer so it was worth it.

Just dont tell the wife :)

Built by a perfectionist, I would imagine the man hours and materials justify the price.
Not always much profit for the manufacturer with things of this nature.

So here is the next part of the puzzle,

I have not been so keen on the generic fleabay silencers kicking about and thought that there must be a better option. I have been searching around and have found these ..

Now I know that they are not made for my bike (they are from a GSXR 1000) but no silencers i can buy will be made specifically for this bike so why not get something cool and make it work.

I have found them at a bargain price and my only issue will be the link pipe. These come with a removable one so i can cut the supplied one to try and fit or just have something made to connect the two.

Apart from jumping from a 38mm to a 45mm pipe and a potential remap (which could be said for anything i buy anyway ) do any of you far more qualified folk know or reasons why this would be a bad idea?

NO but don't think it will be too hard as its a pretty straight line from the headers. Going to try and get the frame painted and back together this weekend so that i can have a look at fitting.

I have found there are plenty parts on ebay for linking exhausts, just ordered some angled link pipes for mine from Classic Bike Shop.
