Apparently Triumph are launching their new Jeans range end of the month, probably made by one of the branded companies...

My experience with biking jeans is they fit terribly, the bottoms normally flap about in the wind making you look a complete !*@$ and the arse is sagging half way down your leg, if they're not a good fit they'll be useless in a spill, they'll just twist and ride up your leg doesn't matter how good thematerial is ... the armour is normally in a pocket which also just moves around.

Think Hideout do made to measure jeans and leather jeans for £300 ish..

I do know what you mean Tricolore but that is why you should try them on.
If the legs are baggy and the arse is down your leg, simple, you don't buy em!
I have previously posted that I have the Hood fully lined blue jeans and they fit great for biking.
Good price, British made and they will tailor them to suit within reason.

So if people don't wear riding jeans (Kevlar) what do people wear? I've got a set of really expensive dainese gortex trousers and a jacket but I presume it won't last as long as Kevlar jeans in a spill due to it being just textile with armour pads? Is leather the only proper safe way? I didn't really want to look like a power ranger.

I wear my Kevlar jeans with leather jacket in Spring, Summer & Autumn unless it's heavy rain, then it's the Merlin waterproofs with protective inserts which I also wear all winter.
