Im looking at buying some new motorcycle jeans and have narrowed it down to:

    Bull-it Covec SR8 VoloCE

    or

    Held 6603 Barrier

    Any other suggestions?

Im looking for full protection and comfort if it exists!

If your budget can stretch you won't get much better than the Rokker "Revolution" jeans, same fit as Levi 501s with removable knee and hip D30 protection, they look and feel like normal jeans but they say they last longer than leather in abrasion tests! plus they are 100% waterproof

Before i bought the Rokker jeans i had tried on a few different makes some of them were too bulky..looked and felt like the Michelin man with them on! and others just didn't fit me right, and most didn't look like ordinary jeans.your'e better trying a few different pairs on before deciding as they are not cheap

don't know who's selling them at that price!!! they are normally about half that price..still expensive though, i look at them as a technical pair of riding trousers rather than just jeans

Your either buying good safety wear. Or. fashion, there's not too much choice here in OZ ! Listening to all the brand names and style name's here is making me jealous and starting to salivate (drooling if I was a Labrador) I envy you guys living in a much bigger market ! Watching the TV here last week and the news reported that there is only a bit over two hundred thousand bike riders here in OZ ! Yes all of OZ !
Most of the bike wear we get here is either branded Triumph or BMW from the bigger dealerships or it's cheaper "no name" stuff with doubtful quality in the safety enhancement arena !
Dragging jeans were really big when they came out ! But the cost was friggin unbelievable ! And of course cheaply made knock off's soon followed !!! I've got four or five pair's of jeans with various different materials in them to make them SAFER I generally choose to wear what would be most comfortable on short ride's and better heavier protection for longer rides, the hip and knee pads make me real like a bit part actor from a sci fi movie like star wars !! What do think ?

Nobody makes biking jeans my size but there are lots of vendors doing lined leather jeans on ebay for under £100. I got a pair about 2 years ago and they've been just fine. Including protecting me when I've come off a couple of times !!
The only downside has been poorish colouring, but I've sorted that with a treatment of a cocktail of ebony woodstain, olive oil and white spirit. Works well and very durable.

Well I must admit Flay, I have never heard of that concoction of liquids to protect/re-colour leathers.
Some of the genuine leather waxes do the job just great

I bought hood jeans http://www.hoodjeans.co.uk/ and have been wearing them all summer, they are great, but as discussed on here on another thread, they are made to measure, however they come with an extra inch on the leg to allow for them to ride up.
I made the mistake of returning them for be shortened, only to find that they are a bit short when in the saddle.
Quality, comfort and practicality is great (easy to wash), recommend looking at these as an option.
I haven't tested in a slide (touch wood).

Not saying they are cheap, but available most places (e.g. Motolegends) at £349. Very comfy.
