Hi Capt. Never had a problem with what we call a Minger, (the low life, water shy dirt ridden slob who won't keep him/herself clean). But while away in a hot, dry and sandy place about 10 years back a Flight Lieutenant who was kicked out of a clean, sand free air conditioned single room in our accommodation block and had to spend the remaining 4 months of his detachment in 'temporary accommodation' aka, sharing a tent with 20+ other blokes with just about no privacy and limited air conditioning, very nice when the day temp was 40+ degrees. You could find his room with your eyes shut because of the fumes. His room was described as a rotting festering shit heap and had to be cleaned and sanitised before it could be used again.
It seems that due to congestion and parking restrictions in down town Allepo, people are having to find new places to park
