I've got an 06 Scrambler with the original silencers removed, pipes cut down and universal baffles fitted. Now it's breathing a bit better it doesn't idle too well so I guess I need to re jet the carbs-any suggestions? The rest of the motor is stock, air box, AI etc.

    Cheers Adam

Hello, P19 here View attachment 1537

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Im not here much myself but luckily i just popped in....

Anyway, as standard i think your Scrambler would run 110 main jets & 40 pilot, personally i would change to 115 or 120 mains & possibly a 42 idle jet to increase the fuel mixture. You might also want to modify the airbox/remove snorkel if fitted or fit an aftermarket performance filter.

Hope this helps & good luck mate :upyeah:

As P19 has already said, if the idle has dropped off then increase idle pilot jets to 42. Have you got any flat spots through the rev range at all? If so, increase the mains to 115, 118 or 120.

Thanks Guys. Not really got any flat spots....it still seems to pull ok. I do keep the choke on a bit though.

I think I'll go 120/42 and see how I get on. Might try and remove the AI and all that gubbins ....I've just ordered a Haynes manual so what can go wrong :(
