Hey Dougie, thanks for posting this link. I just spent a very interesting and enjoyable 11 mins watching this - these guys must have been tough, as well as very skilled.

 

There always seemed to be someone highsiding during a race,i bet they just knew it was going to hurt

 

Good stuff . Pity it didn't go up to the end of the 500s with Rossi etc

 

Cheers for linking that Dougie. Took me waaaaayyyyyy back. Schwantz was always "my man". That win it or bin it attitude was amazing. A real racer. Today we have Rossi. Another real racer. And the next gen are comin thru as well with MM, vinales and the espargaro brothers pushing it to the limit.

Always liked doohan too. Five on the bounce was incredible.

But surely none can compare to bazza??? He was a true phenomenon.

Yes Schwantz was always my favourite too Bob,It's amazing to think Doohan won his 5 titles after nearly losing his leg..it would have been 7 titles if he didn't have the accident,i think we are now in another golden age of racing, next year will be really interesting
