ACF 50

I always clean my bike with an acf50 soaked microfibre cloth. I cut a standard microfibre into quarters and then spray a clean quarter on both sides from the aerosol. I don a pair of rubber gloves and go over the whole bike wiping away any grime which slides off easily on the acf50 already there. I change the cloth as needed but usually 2 pieces maximum is all thats needed. After that i polish the paintwork with mr sheen. After a salty ride a simple rinse over with cold water from a watering can or hose will suffice before a weekly wipe over again with the acf50 where necessary.

 

I have a question regarding getting the ACF50 off.
I understand that once applied it's very good at staying applied to the bike surfaces (and muck and grime will stick to it). When you want to give the bike a GOOD clean how do you get the ACF50 off?
ie not having grime stick to it all through summer etc.

 

Hi Scoot I use it during the winter months mainly as a corrosion protector, it is a water repellent, come the spring just wash it off with a normal wash and wax solution.I have never had a problem with it.

Had mine done at H&P near Gatwick last Monday. Service was great, taking around two hours in all. £50 for a good clean and coating applied. Time will tell how it manages through the dark months.
