    Hi.
So, when I first got dotty, an hours trip on the old m'way would result in numb hands and arms. Bad vibes.
So I replaced front tyre, balanced it. Replaced the head stem bearings. Now the vibes are different. At 70 in 6th there's not a lot. Lower then 60 and in 5th or lower it'd there still. It's definitely engine as pull the clutch and it disappears.
It is worse above 7k in the first 4 gears. And on throttle let off it surges through the bars.
I'm guessing it's clutch. But do I replace basket, or just the bearing and internals like the plates and judder spring etc? Or could it be input shift related?
Any thoughts? As I love the old girl and want her smoother amd more enjoyable on the four hour bimbles I like to do

    Cheers all!

I wouldn't worry about the clutch at the moment as I reckon that the problem is fuelling related. Lift the clutch - the vibes subside with the revs. Shut the throttle and it surges - most certainly fuelling, as my Suzuki GT550 would confirm (I know ... 2 stroke from a different era etc.) and also two Meriden Triumphs and a Norton 88 that were never quite right, but provided endless hours of entertainment trying to get them there - needles, jets, slide cutaways, float heights etc etc. Oh what fun and joy we had when I were a lad!
I have no personal knowledge of it but 'tune ecu' can be downloaded via a laptop and used to check how beautifully, or otherwise, your bikey is performing. People do say it is easy to use - I couldn't possibly comment. But it does, apparently, require a decent quality lead to work well.
As I say, I've never had the pleasure, but I'd check the fuelling and throttle body balance before ripping into anything else. Team Roberts sorted my Daytona 955i CE beautifully when I took it to them for a service many moons ago. Not too pricey either, although I think it was a basic, end of season special offer service, which is probably why it was good value.
I suppose a dealer check over is another option if all else fails.

Not lift the clutch, lift the throttle. Pull clutch it the vibration goes straight away.
Thanks for the heads up tho, as I'm going to get her tuned soon. Do throttle bodies and ecu and throw and end can on and a better filter. First I really wanna nail these vibes.but may do throttle bodies and get a tune up first and see.
Btw. New chain and sprockets less than 1000 miles ago. O rings not squishy no tight master link.
    Team Roberts have been recommended.
I like to get oily and learn things, usually what not to do, but hey, all fun ;)

Good move, methinks, to get it tuned up and running properly before looking elsewhere.
My Trident was transformed after its 48,000 mile service and valve shims check. Felt like a much younger machine - easier to start, smoother and more responsive.:) Luvverly!!:):D

Sounds daft but try with no or heavier bar end weights to move the harmonics away from your hands. See what happens and it's very cheap to do.

If you want to learn see Clive Wood. You can watch what he does, not like a dealer who will do all possible to keep you out of the workshop

You don't state bike model or number of cylinders, I had 94 trident which the vibe built up oopver time between services, balance of the motor would be affected by valve req adj or carbs out of balance, also I noted after 6yrs of ownership that high on the right or low and to left side. Bolts. Nuts and. Screws would come loose from time to time, I did a lot of Highway running 110kph/70mph running on this bike, so regularly sitting in the 3,500 - 4,500 rpms constant throttle.

    Hey guys.
Work is hell. Not been on a while. Sorry.
    Yeah it's a d600. 27k.
Vibes after almost daily. Need a fork rebuild and I'll balance throttle bodies this month if I get a day off and we'll see if she's fixed. Hope yer all OK!
