Recently the oil pressure warning light has started to flicker. After having the bike checked at the local Triumph dealership it was addressed to the fact that it was a wiring problem. The dealer suggested to change out the speedometer at a cost of 1200 Euro or have a car electrician look at it. After browsing around I found out that it is not an uncommon problem and I wanted to see if anybody in this forum have had similar problems and how they fixed it. I did check that my bike is not eligible for a recall (which doesn't solve the problem anyways)

@Dane69 Welcome to the family. Do check the wiring around the light and unit. Just make sure something has not loosened up there and the earth is good. Also check the unit in the engine is clean and secure. Nice bike. Perhaps when you get it sorted you could tap the upload a file button and show it of to all of us.

Here is my bike and thanks for the advice. I found a local shop that are willing to have a look at it.

The downward route of wire to the oil pressure gauge on the 2010 865 would in some cases allow the protective rubber boot around the gauge to retain water which caused problems. Might be worth checking yours to see if they’re still pulling the same trick.

I had same problem and fixed it with a new oil sender unit. Cost around £20..

Its easy for me to say but try not to over think a problem. I always start at th cheap end first. :)
