    Mother nature is a bitch.

I posted on 2/10 about our six-inch snowfall capped with a layer of ice and how we were in a cold snap that resulted in the longest we have been with snow on the ground in recent memory. Well, a few days ago it warmed up a bit and rained hard, washing most of the snow away.

    I was ready for Spring!

The forecast for Sunday into Monday? We are gonna' get hammered!

Blizzard conditions with a possibility of 20" or more.

    Whaaaaah.

Thanks Sandi, insurance replacing carpet, walls and cabinets. Now need to wait for builders and Contents evaluation.

Well, I won't be doing anything with my Triumph for a while, except sitting on it in the garage making VAROOM, VAROOM noises. It wasn't as bad as predicted. They were talking 22"! We got about 16" Bad enough!

It made the news this side of the pond. The worst blizzard in NY for 9 yrs apparently with a temporary travel ban issued. I reckon you’ll still cope with it better than we would. Much less snow than that and we fall apart like a cheap watch.:joy:

We're about 95 miles south of NYC and 40 miles inland west of Atlantic City. Most of the N.E. coast got slammed. The shore towns got it worse.

All shoveled out now. I hate to wish time away (you don't get any more of it) but I can't wait till Spring. Still a lot of winter ahead, though. One of the worst blizzards we ever had was in April of '77.

Hi, Tony. My response to this post is a little slow (understatement!) but I'm curious what you thought about the presentation of the 2026 Bonneville range. Hope you're doing well. It's been a bit since we've chatted.

Hey Sandi! me too ()as in not being present here very much of late). Hope you're well.

Hmmm... I think my overriding view is that (1) they're all lovely bikes; (2) there are some improvements, but very much a case of evolution rather than revolution; and (3) my view - shared by the sales guys I spoke to - is that there's not enough change to warrant an upgrade, just for the sake of upgrading.

I like that-- "evolution rather than revolution". That's pretty much what I'm finding at the moment in Harley World, too. The models I currently own still exist but have not changed significantly. Although, of course, some new model year Street Glide or Low Rider ST always has to have some absolutely gorgeous paint job that I covet. :p:joy::joy: That said, surprisingly, I'm still happy as a clam with my 2019 speed triple RS and have no designs on an updated model or different model. Probably a wise financial decision since I'm retiring in three months. ;) How are you doing?

I'm doin g well enough, Sandi, thank you - looking forward to some better weather though - it's rained almost every day for two months over here and I'm desperate to ride a but more (I'm WFH today and it's allegedly going to be sunny, so...).

Very happy to hear that you're so close retirement - I know how much pressure you've been under and l;ide's too short. I'm actually retiring myself soon - my present interim management role runs to the end of July, and then that's it for me too :)

PS Still miss that beautiful Harley of mine, truth be told.
