    Good morning all,
Sorry to keep spamming with my progress…
Today is the start of my on road lessons 2 x 2 hrs lessons today and 1x 2hr lesson tomorrow. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Oh and I put a deposit down on a Triumph Tiger Sport 800 (Black):grinning:, could be about 5-6 weeks for delivery as there were none in stock.

Thanks @Mrs Visor , weather held up ok.
A little bit frustrated as I don’t think I rode very well, a lot to take in. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

I used to find that when I thought I hadn't ridden too well, more had sunk in than I thought and just the break overnight was enough for a reset and a great ride the next day :). I am certain tomorrow will be better!

@PJ55 Like i said to both my Boys. You are just doing what you know you can do easily. Just some person watching you. But you show them just how good you are and probably as good if not better than a lot of them. My Eldest on his test had to pull over safely and pick the examiner up as he fell of his bike. He passed with glowing colours. And please keep on telling us of your journey to riding that new Tiger. Especially as i am thinking of a trade with my Trident 660 for the 800. Good luck mate.

Thanks @joe mc donald . you’re right, it’s the thought of someone watching that’s off putting. I’ll try and have the mindset of me just out for a casual ride. ( I think ) :).
I’ll let you know how the Tiger is when I do eventually get on it…

@PJ55 That's the way to go. Enjoy your bike and ride it as you do. The Tiger is waiting.

    Hey,
Well that’s another lesson done, I asked to work on hill starts today as yesterday I struggled which frustrated me and I think it threw me off.
Today went well, and I nailed the hill start!!
I’ve just got to work on the positioning when turning left or right, but we’re going to work on that on Thursday. On the whole it’s ok just now and again I’m not far enough to the kerb for a left or the centre for a right turn.
Thursday ( test day ) will be here before I know it o_O.

    Hi,
Well I’ve just sat my Mod 2, and it wasn’t the outcome I wanted.. :(.
I got a major for not giving way to oncoming traffic in a traffic calming zone.
I followed a bus through, but looking back I should’ve waited for the bus to be clear so I had a better view of the road ahead. When I entered the area I then noticed a car waiting who had right of way.
Oh well, hopefully next time as I didn’t pick up and minors.
    PJ ;)

How frustrating; at least you know that you don't have loads of faults to work on! Hopefully you'll get a retest soon :).

Thanks @Mrs Visor , 11th March for the retest.
Just annoying that today was a mis- judgement and could easily of been avoided.
Popped into the Triumph shop to ask about the timeline for the bike I ordered, and it’s not ready until mid April. So as long as I’m through by then I’ll be happy.
    PJ :)

I had a pretty long wait after I failed my Mod 2 for a retest, it was really frustrating - at least you're straight back in :). I bet you can't wait for your new bike, you can't go wrong with a lovely triple engine :).

Yeah I can’t wait to get the bike :grinning:.
I believe as standard it’s 10 days before a retest can be taken, so I’ve been quite lucky to get straight back in for it.

We've all done it. I was well on way to my HGV pass, then like an idiot I miss judged a car on a roundabout, and pulled out in front of him. The examiner said afterwards, that I gave him no choice, and that my drive was almost without faults.
I felt a right plonker. So put it down to experience, and show em next time that you're a good rider.

Don’t worry, as others have said we’ve all done it. Mine was on a two stroke twin and the crankcase seals were shot. Couldn’t start the bloody thing
