    Lesson No3, MOD 1 prep:-
Today we had the use of the actual test centre yard to go through all of the requirements for the test.
Manual handling (walking the bike from bay to bay), slalom through the cones into a figure of 8, emergency stops at speed ( checked by the speed trap) etc etc.
All went good, and feel confident but I guess it all depends on the day.

@PJ55 Have you ever tried to explain it to a non biker. Impossible they look at you with a blank stare. If they only knew or could understand that its more than just a bike its part of the soul and man and machine are as one.

It's nice when you get to use the actual test pad for Mod 1 practise, takes away some of the anxiety because you know what to expect! Roll on the 19th :).

Since my return to biking with the Duke I’ve had just the one minor spill, no more than 10 mph but it still cost me a fractured collar bone, shoulder blade and two or three ribs as the front brake lever trapped my fingers to the bars and the bike then dragged me until we all stopped sliding. Not far but as soon as I heard the medic report crepitus over his comms I knew it wasn’t going to be remedied with Elastoplasts

SWMBO was asked “surely you’re not going to let him ride again?” To which she replied “I would dream of even trying”:joy:

    Hi all,
I did my MOD 1 test this morning and passed :). I did have to do the hazard avoidance twice as I didn’t hit the recommended speed on the 1st run. But other than that, everything went ok.
