    Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on a 2007 Honda CBR600RR recently and came across some screws/bolts that aren't immediately obvious in terms of their function. Before I go stripping threads or messing up my settings, I did some digging.

I found a very helpful discussion on Reddit where someone asked this exact question (you can see the photos and the breakdown here: https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/1qwwya3/what_are_these_screws_on_2007_cbr600rr/).

The Consensus: Usually, on these supersport bikes, what looks like a 'random screw' on the fairings or near the forks is actually:

    • Fairing Stay Bolts: Often overlooked but crucial for keeping the plastics from vibrating.

    • Suspension Adjusters: (Especially on the front forks) — If they have 'H-S' markings, they are for Rebound or Compression. Don't touch these unless you know your suspension setup!

    • Idle Adjustment: On some older models, there’s a remote thumb-screw for idle speed.
Has anyone else here ever started 'unscrewing' something on their CBR only to realize it was a critical adjustment screw? What’s the one bolt on this bike that always gives you trouble?

Has anyone ever started working on their CBR600RR and suddenly realised it is a Triumph?
