Sorry if this is a stupid question i have bought some pannier racks for my triumph expedition panniers[they are rebranded trekker outback] when i slot the bottom of the panniers onto the 2 round prongs, then i cannot get the frames to go from red [in the slot] to green, you pull out the lever from the lock on the pannier to get the 2 blades to retract then they are supposed to engage with the hooks in the metal bar on the frames but the don't attach, what am i doing wrong, thanks for any replies.

what a b-stard,pushed on it with ALL my strength would not just "push on" like in the video had to grease up the blade bits in the panniers then pull back on the lever[should not have to pull the lever] then whack it on and it finally went "click" but weirdly the red slots are still there, they should be green when its locked into place, will leave it on overnight and try the other side tomorrow, probably won't be able to get it off now.

Did you buy the Givi or triumph racks? Givi and Triumph stuff, although made by the same company, were not compatible. The "tongue" that is meant to click in is said to be about 20mm offset, so you have to go to triumph and pay all that extra for the badge.

Triumph expedition panniers came with the triumph racks but they were not able to convert to quick release,so i bought the givi racks, the panniers fit on BUT you really have to give it some force to get them on or off.
