Hi, Been riding since 1997. My first two bikes were actually a 96 Sprint (T3 chassis) and T595 daytona. Moved on to mostly ducs, aprilias and mvs. Retired now and sold my last bike a sport tourer as I wanted something lighter and more fun. I spent months going back and forth with what to get. Sat on a Trident a couple weeks ago, and it felt great, very comfortable. First mods I'm going to get the footpeg assembly powder coated black and will probably remove the rear passenger footrest assemblies as I'll never carry a passenger. I went to the dealer yesterday (80 miles away). And they just delivered it to my house half hour ago.
Thanks for the welcome guys. I've been looking the bike over and it seems quite well made. and I can't complain about the price. The dealer was eager to sell before the end of the year, so it worked out well. I've been looking at some of the addons. I think I'd like to get a seat cowl since I'll never be carrying a passenger. I already pulled the rear footpeg assemblies and it cleans the looks up., I'm kind of wondering what to do about the brake reservoir in the back, perhaps relocate tho I have noticed some people buying a cover for it, or I might just leave it as is.
Nice ride! If you leave the rear brake reservoir as is, it will likely become invisible as you get used to the bike. If you plan to ride distances, an aftermarket windscreen might reduce the wind pummeling. Enjoy the bike! You have some great mountain venues in the Smokies to the West that might be worth a trip! I've been there multiple times (from NJ).
