This is a film I've thought of seeing, but I've read that there are some harrowing scenes in Nuremberg, actual footage from the camps, which is not something my better half would take very well......

You're correct, but it's nothing that maybe you've both seen on TV before, and it doesn't dwell too long on the subject, it highlights a few camps. I think they're just reminding people of just how low the human race can go. But you know your better half more than I, so maybe best to skip this film.

You'll enjoy it, if enjoy is the correct word.

Don't ever go to Auschwitz with her - though I really do think that everybody should "experience" the place and learn/see/feel what went on there - and at many other similar camps. It is a shocking, visceral indictment of the Nazi regime and, to an extent, of mankind.

Been to Auschwitz twice, and it's amazing how some people act while they're there. Many moons ago I went to Dachau with a mate of mine, it was a boiling hot day and we're both walking around in leathers, the difference was he had his beer belly out for all to see, and I was zipped up. Needless to say it wasn't long before and official gestured to zip his leathers up.

Watched this last night, and I've got to admit it was really enjoyable. The keen eyed among you, who might watch this film, will notice is, that when there's a punch up at the 2nd petrol station, it's the 59 Café in Skipton.
All credit to Kiefer Sutherland, who lets face it, is a well know Hollywood actor and is a multi millionaire, that he decided to do this film, along with another Hollywood actress Alice Eve.
They both could have said no, but they didn't. Give it a go you might enjoy it too.
    It's filmed around Knaresborough.

Afternoon movie theatre almost full..... first time this year! OK it's almost Christmas, but they were also showing a decent thriller......

The Housemaid with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried having a lot of fun with the story, and as a little bonus for the boys, Sydney is never shy about showing off her curves!!

Edit: Sorry, that wasn't a very grown up review.....

From most of the reviews I've seen, I think Avatar: Fire and Ash could be one to miss - we re-watched the second movie recently, thinking it would be good to do that before seeing the new film..... it was pretty boring second time around!!

The new one sounds like 3 hours 15minutes of the same old same old.....

    yeah I know...
my daughter asked me to watch #2 with her, and I did, also slept through a few scenes... she wants to go see #3, since she does not ask me to do stuff with her very often I'll go, but 3 hrs in a cinema is giving me pause

A couple of nights ago we watched a movie called "Relay" that was recommended in our local newspaper. We really enjoyed it! Anyone else heard of it or watched it?

Yes we saw it at the cinema, and also thought it was very good. It's on the list to watch again now that it is streaming!
