I have been having a problem with the starter on my bike for a few years. With a new and fully charged battery the bike starts fine but on my short journeys as the battery slowly goes flatter. The starter just clicks. This is the Headlight relay in the fairing. So I know the switch works but there is not enough current to trigger the Starter Solenoid. A lot of this problem is due to the wiring for the starter circuit going through multiple connectors and going backward and forward under the tank. Also the Bypass plug in the Alarm connector can cause problems. I made an emergency switch under the seat between the battery direct to the Solenoid. This works every time. So now I have added and extra 'Cube' relay under the seat. The old Solenoid wire now goes to a relay this triggers a line from the battery, through a 20A fuse to the Solenoid. So now a much weaker current is needed to trigger the solenoid. This makes the Starter circuit much more reliable. Please see diagram.
