Hi guys Im having trouble trying to change the service date on my Rally Explorer 2022 . I've tried Tigertool but that won't let me , any help would be much appreciated Cheers Matt
There are several models from 2022> on which Dealertool cannot reset the service date/indicator. My 2024 Scrambler 1200X wasn’t on the list initially but I subsequently found out that service indicator reset will not work despite in working on a 2022 Street Scrambler. Check here….. https://dealertool.co.uk/faq
That's not great by Deleartool, when I last spoke with them (by email), I was under the impression they were working towards a fix. I very recently had the same thing with Icarsoft. I was told they had a diagnostic unit for the 2019 Katana. I bought one, and it did not work, it does for the GSX-S1000 but not the Katana. I had to explain to them that the loom and ECU are different, they gave me a full refund and super quick as well.
I spoke to dealertool today and they said that the new firewall on the Gen 4 is different to the rest and it can't be done , so it looks like I'm stuck for the mo Thanks for the help guys
I used Dealertool on two previous Street Scramblers with no problems. I spoke to Dealertool, around May 2024, after buying the 1200 and they were “pretty sure” it would work as they had used already tried it on a new 2024 Scrambler with the 6pin connector with no problems. On the back of that I bought the new 6pin adaptor and a new ECU key for the 1200. After trying the service date change numerous times, including deleting and reinstalling the software, without success I contacted them and they were surprised and somewhat perplexed that it didn’t work. They concluded that the instrument panel must have the same firmware as the Trident and 660 models on which the service reset is also not supported. Since then they have been working on it but still without success it seems. Just to confirm, EVERY OTHER FUNCTION of the DT software works fine.
That’s disappointing. Although I already had the software and USB cable with the 16 pin connector I did consider asking for a refund for the cost of the 6 pin adaptor and an additional ECU key for the new 1200 but I did use it to diagnose a MIL error the bike threw up a couple of weeks ago so, in that respect it was worth it having saved me the faff and potential cost of a dealer visit.
