Yes, ....both bikes...... and we're not even home yet! Stopped off at the mother-in-laws in Nottingham, still 2 days ride home to Cornwall. Mother's a star.
I haven't had time to clean my bike yet SWMBO had some jobs for me to do, said my bike could wait. Just goes to show I'm a pussycat really Her nickname is Mrs Scary. So I hope you will obviously feel sorry for me!!!!!
Back home safe here in paddyland, good run , nice breakfast in Hollyhead and a smooth crossing, traffic in Dublin was crazy and so was the motorway , 6 miles of slow traffic due to a truck broken down, the car drivers were envious of me riding through them only one arse hole tried to close the gap but a quick slap of mirror as i went past on purpose gave me the the edge over the p**ck . He was determind not to let me through. Theres always one !! Nice lay in this morning before giving Penelope a wash, clean and putting her back in her stable for a rest. My pen did me well . Its been fun
Proper return journey for me today. Currently in sunny Ashbourne for a spot of lunch then pretty much retracing the route we took up here (minus crispey's farmyard detour! ) No bike washing yet Ade!
Nothing fancy, just Scala Q3's. Works well enough, if I can see SWMBO in the mirrors we can comm's (+ linked to Zumo). Don't usually bother but paired them up to the mobile phones for this trip too, which came in handy when Chris was marking that junction for half hour and not a clue how to get back.
I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I didn't put us in a farmyarD on the way up. In fact the only time we went wrong was when someone else took over the lead on the way up! But that aside if you take the same route back its one hell of a lot better on your own.
Changed my route and came back through the Cotswolds. Home about 4.00 after two more stops - managed to eat a whole bag of midget gems in Moreton in Marsh just watching other bikers ride through. Classic bike meet at Popham Airfield tomorrow so still no bike washing!
