This sounds like a wonderful event, @Wessa. I hope you were able to participate. Did you get any takers to join you? I would have if I lived a wee bit closer.

Thanks @Sandi T, yes I did go on the ride yesterday.
I left home in a cool sunny morning and arrived at Birch services just after 10 am. To my surprise there were already loads of bikes already there. Luckily I was in the middle of the first lane which meant I would be leaving in the first lot.
With over two hours to kill before the off I headed for a coffee. Met a few other bikers and chatted as you do. Some of guys had arrived at 9am to ensure they were at the front of the ride.
It was amazing at 11am when the bells tolled and the silence started; hundreds of bikers went totally silent. It was a beautiful and moving as well.
Anyway I later realised that it was only 30 minutes to the get go, so I headed back to my bike. Unfortunately just before we were heading out it started to rain, which persisted later in the ride.

Anyway I put together this short video as a memory for the day.

    I hope you enjoy it.

Nice one Steve, just a shame there was at least 1 disrespective idiot who thought it was a good idea to bounce his bike off the rev limiter, he must have a small willy.

There is always at least one idiot on these rides, but in the main most riders adhered to the ride guidelines lol
