Thanks it is painful and the deep bruising is still coming out and from the bruise that has come on the inside of my right ankle my M/C boots probably saved me from more fractured bones. As for insurance that is going to be a battle on it's own a sorry to say as I was injured and hospitalised there should have a police report by now but hey I am English and the truck driver Bulgarian so it MUST be my fault. The two officers that I saw at the scene were helpful but sadly cannot say the same for those at the station. It would not surprise me if they claim that I have broken some law by not making the report yet when we tried they turned us away. Plezier
If in doubt, and especially as you have a personal injury claim, I'd contact a specialist motorcycle solicitor like White Dalton, for advice or to act for you in your claim.
not a problem it's not exactly place people expect and think of when they here that you live in Europe even saying S E Europe not many think of Bulgaria. Plezier
Don't laugh but I actually found Hattie quite attractive..it was 1975 and I was in hospital for 6 weeks.Thats my excuse and im sticking to it ,get well soon.
Hattie was one heck of an actress and far more attractive than the eastern european battleaxes in the hospital. My knee is just not right so nephew drove down to doctor and he is not at all happy with the way it looks or feels so it's back to hospital for xray tomorrow also have to register my new S1 form here. Doctor prescribed some tablets that should help with all the deep soft tissue damage darned things cost £20. Plezier

Update ................ Well it would appear that the police are going to blame me for the collision as tonight they turned up at the house with the mayor and issued me with a summons to appear at the same local police station the same one that they turned us away from last Friday on 8th October to be "interrogated" and the summons says that I am the accused. Have emailed lawyer and will follow up by phone in the morning. As I mentioned a while back it seems it must be my fault as I am English and not Bulgarian. Plezier
Sounds just like spain, used to live there years ago, and our neighbour was involved in a head on collision, the other driver was on the wrong side of the road, and they blamed our neighbour. Never did understand the logic behind that decision. Hope somehow you'll be able to get it sorted. Fingers crossed.
Before you splash out on new specs give multi focal contact lenses a go. Absolute game changer for me and the brand to try is Total 1.
Thank you will bear that in mind for the future but I seriously doubt that I can use contacts due to an incident as a child aged about 6 even getting drops in my eyes is a struggle the medical staff had a right ole game when they to save my sight after an aerosol can of engineering layout ink exploded in my face and burnt the outer layers of both eyeballs away resulting ina weeks stay in the eye ward of the local hospital for intense treatment which was every 2 hours, It worked Hmmmm I had almost forgotten about that and this topic just brought it back into memory.. It's too late for this time as vari-focals ordered and deposit paid on 18/09 which should be ready next week although due to this incident cannot afford the balance until next pension payment and that's not due for another 2 1/2 weeks. A guy I used to work with did a stint in one of the Arab states in the Middle East and he told me that no matter what the circumstances a road traffic incident was always your fault. The logic behind this policy is quite simple. as a non-native inhabitant you shouldn't be there. and if you weren't the incident wouldn't have happened. Whether this is an over simplification of the policy I do not know. If I have got this totally wrong I apologise.
Hum somehow I am not surprised at the arabs after all they did not earn the monika of "lieing thieving Arab" without reason! I am of an age that when I was little there were relatives serving. working and emigrating to various parts of the Empire/Commonwealth had an uncle and aunt in Keyna during the Mau/Mau trouble, Mother had 3 brothers in the Royal Navy travelling around the world a sister in Rhodesia and Dad well although it was during WW2 he did the far east tour, India, Burma, Malaya and Java their stories do not exactly show the native peoples in a positive light hence in later life Dad had no desire to leave England and meet more of the same "peoples" the Bulgarians attitude has changed towards the English since Brexit (UK laving the EU and not paying in the billions it was) this it seemed has effected a lot of the officials schemes funding by EU monies and as there is a lot less money now the fiddles and schemes have been affected and they are no happy bunnies about it.
