Hi All, am sitting here on a hospital bed feeling a bit shaky due to the anisthect from the OP to pin my right upper arm as was daft enough to snap in two.. It is OKAY as was not on my Trophy 900 but had taken the Ducati 620ie Monster as she had not been run for a while. Did tyre pressures and adjusted them as they were about 6-10lbs down last time took her out the handling felt a bit off but this time it was fine. Got the bit of shopping and headed home Trip of approx 20km weather was fine bright sunshine above 20 degrees roads nice and dry approaching a small village there is a nice straight and the there was a cement truck. Road was clear so indicator on and moved to overtake driver did a classic turn left the tyres on the Ducati squealed under the heavy braking but it was not enough. The odd thing is that I don't recall actually hitting the truck,...,... Found myself laying on my back in the gravel on side of the road with several worried people around me. Noticed right away my right upper arm was broken as felt the bone move and the pain will not be able to ride for a while the Ducati is a bit messed up think I saw the clocks laying on the ground and front brake lever front mudguard is broken waiting for nephew to tell me damage Police moved into roadside scrub so hopefully it has not been stolen.. Right knee has bruiseing and a couple of scapes left hand feels sprained it's the right that is going to need work due to swelling cannot make a proper fist. This has been written on my phone with my left hand..., sorry about that. plezier

Not good, but bikes can be repaired/replaced - main thing is you are (relatively speaking) okay. Hope your recovery is as swift and painless as possible

Have to ask Police if they have moved Ducati as not where they left it. As for me well am battered and bruised still finding more bits of me that hurt it's been many years since this has happened. It's only the third time that have broken bones and the last time was on 17th October 1983 when broke both wrists. The Trophy is so heavy it's going to take a while before can manage it

Don't know the damage all I saw as they put me into the ambulance was the front brake lever and the clocks.. Speedo and Tach on the road. At the moment we have no idea where the bike is but it's no longer at the site of the collision tried phoning police but got an officer who doesn't speak English so as of now don't know if it has been stolen or not or if the police moved it. As yet have no idea how long am going to be in the hospital they took post operation x-rays this morning then pumped me with a large syringe of antibiotics though the cannula in the back of left hand she had trouble getting it in so I said perhaps I am full up.
