A trip to Bringsty Vintage Cafe for me on the Ducati and then to see my friends for a chat. Only just over 50 miles as I had a sluggish start to my day, having finished a night shift this morning.

This photo catches about the worst angle, however I can promise you that the cafe is extremely nice!

It's one of my very favourite places....I just could not have taken a less flattering photo of the parking area o_O.

I just went for a little fly about on my Ducati this morning as I am on rest days from work and Helmut had to work from home today. I went up to Crossgates, where I had to indulge in my favourite ginger biscuit, then just home via Built Wells. 106 miles done :).

I swore up and down that I'd ride all three of my bikes over the weekend. I've definitely been needing moto-therapy since starting my new job. Well, I almost made it. Two of the three got out for a stretch--my Harley Low Rider ST and my Harley Street Glide. Today was going to be Speedy's day to get out but I got caught up in catching up on...work. :( Steve keeps telling me not to work on days for which I'm not paid but it's too stressful to go back into my school feeling behind.

Anyway, here's the good stuff! I rode Fast Johnnie two days in a row for about 100 miles total. And I found a lucky penny when I was getting ready to ride home from saying hi to my buddies at our local dealership. :)

I rode my Street Glide yesterday for our Sunday morning breakfast ride. It was a lovely overcast day. Yes, when you've been blasted by the sun and 100º+ F for months on end, overcast is lovely. We even got sprinkled on a bit on the ride back from Mammoth and our Mexican breakfast at Mi Pueblito.

Our buddy, Russell, had a total knee replacement on August 11th right after we returned from Sturgis. He's starting to get stir crazy. He can drive but can't yet ride his motorcycles or his bicycle so he drove to Mammoth and met us for breakfast. Unbeknownst to Steve and me, he shot a short video of us on the ride back into Tucson. I took a snippet of the video for this photo. 90 miles on the day.

My next ride is going to be on my Speed Triple come hell or high water!!!

Much like Steve I tell Mrs Visor exactly the same thing and she feels exactly the same as you if you don't do it :p

116 miles around Loch Lomond National Park with my CL500 and my mate's cb500f, finishing in Aberfoyle for coffee and chat with the other bikers there.

Yesterday..... with a new pair of Mitas Enduro Trail fitted.

A day out on my own down a load of new unknown routes. Isn't it funny how you think you know your way around everywhere and then suddenly a nugget pops up offering somewhere new to go?

    A few more pics.

    20250925_130516.jpg

Manor Farm for breakfast, actually a milkshake and a bag of crisps as the food queue would eat too much of my day, pun intended.

Bugger, disaster, the ice cream parlor is shut Thursdays o_O

Great day out but I need to balance that back wheel as the tyre clamp makes 60+ unbearable.

Looks like the pier at Balmaha. Fished there many times and caught some decent Pike. It can get a bit busy in Summer though with swimmers and the boating brigade.

That’s an issue with the Peak District, you’re not allowed off piste onto open Moorland. In addition to the NERC act closing many routes, those that are left are fairly short and some pass through areas designated SSSI’s with the threat of a high treason charge and life imprisonment with hard labour being levied on anyone driving over any “rare” lichens or moss covered rocks. Pindale is such a place with vehicles restricted to the track itself which astounds me as it’s all old quarry workings and had the living crap blasted out of it in the past.

    Totally agree, absolute nonsense.

Cam fell in the Dales, I knew the previous owner ( 1000 acres sheep farm).
I used to travel up last thing by Landrover, like midnight or early hours, and go rabbit shooting.
I'd trundle across the greenlane with the safety of knowing the farmer a few miles further on. A challenging lane in those days!

A while back, so I'm informed;), this is no longer a right of way and so the logging people have built a gravel motorway to serve their purpose whilst the subservient minions are no longer allowed to travel this path.

    Absolute joke!

A bit like @Pegscraper the place where I learnt all my off road stuff as a kiddie.

Fanny pit was a colliery in Yorkshire.

    Now it's an SSSI o_O

Did no-one tell them it's history?

Slightly off topic, the “Fanny pit” was a nickname we gave to a local pub on Friday evenings back in the 80’s. Just sayin’. :p

Fanny pit..... how could you come to any other conclusion ?

Absolutely loved it and set me up for my adult life :joy:

What a great place to get stuck on your own on a bike with grey clay, you either know it or you don't, when you're 15 year old and up to your knees in the stuff then its a wow moment but I didn't see it coming : unamused:

Some lessons are learnt the hard way!
